Whiteface Eastern States Cup #9-
-Damon, Chuck, and Grayson from Team Highland were at whiteface for stop number 9 of the Eastern States Cup. The race was a 5k or 3.1 mile long course so endurance and staying on two wheels was important. The course was muddy and had many big holes and deep ruts. Chuck was first up and took second place only missing out by one second. Next was Grayson and he took first place adding to his wins this season. Last was Damon. He had a time of 8:49 and missed out on first by less than a second. He still would have managed to take a fifth in pro making it his third top three if he was in pro. Damon and Grayson also both became the N.Y. state champions.

National Championships at Beech Mt-
– Two weekends ago Damon, Chuck, and Grayson from Team Highland were at Beach Mountain in North Carolina for the Downhill National championships. The course was muddier than any other race this season making clean race runs hard to come by. Grayson was up first and after crashing in the first corner still managed to take third. Next was Damon and after many close calls he managed to take second in the Jr national championships. Final was Chuck, he crashed what he says to be to many times and for the first time this season finishes off the podium. This coming weekend the Team will be at Plattekill Mountain for the next race of the Eastern States Cup series, stop by and say Hi!
