Despite an almost constant downpour on Sunday the Pro GRT stop #2 at Highland Mountain was a huge success! The course was fast, loose and fun all weekend and with the rain the racing only got more exciting. Team Highland had an amazing weekend with podium finishes for all four riders. In the competitive Jr Expert Class Damon Morin took second, missing first by only five tenths of a second. His time would have gotten him 24th in the pro class against some of the fastest pros in the nation. Charles Morin, Damon’s father, got 1st in the Expert Men 40+ class by 6 seconds. Charles’s younger son Grayson Morin took 3rd in the Junior Beginner class. And Sam Wiggin of Team Highland also took 3rd in the Sport 19-29 class. This was a great start to the 2011 race season for Team Highland! Keep up the good work Damon, Charles, Grayson and Sam!
