Another November! Hard to believe we’re already down to the final two weekends of the 2021 season. Time flies. As we gear up for those last chilly runs, we want to take a moment to thank all of you who rode with us this year. Highland wouldn’t be what it is without the people who make up this unique community continuing to share in the stoke and spread the good vibes. You’re the reason we do what we do!
There’s still plenty happening in November, so keep reading for all of the details on this year’s S’Ender Bash, 2022 season pass discounts, Central Park surface lift updates, and a look ahead to some of our plans for the winter.
NOVEMBER LIFT HOURS
Thursday & Friday: 10am-4pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9am-4pm
Veterans and active duty military ride for free on Veterans Day! (Thursday, November 11th.) Please present your valid Veteran ID, military ID, or DD214 at the Welcome Center to receive your free day pass. Advance registration is not required.
The annual Flag Run will take place on the 11th on Upper NE Style to Lower Happy Hour. Anyone who wants to participate should meet at the summit at noon.
As per tradition, we’ll be closing out the season next weekend with the annual S’Ender Bash. Get your sea legs ready and dust off your finest tricorn hats, because this year’s theme is…pirates. Join us in raising money for Wings For Life while enjoying good food, good company, and live music from Vinyl Tap. (And, obviously, some swashbuckling.) Admission is $20 and can be paid online in advance or day of at the Welcome Center or the door.
The bash itself is strictly 21+ but there will plenty of other pirate-themed fun to get into during the day, including a costumed race! The S’End-arrr Race will take place on Upper NE Style (B-Line) to Lower Happy Hour. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in both men’s and women’s classes as well as to the three best pirate-themed costumes we see on course. Race registration will close at midnight the night before the race OR when full, whichever happens first.

The end of the season also means that 2022 Season Passes are on sale now! Prices are at their lowest right now during the Early Bird Sale, but will go up after the mountain closes on November 14th. 2022 Season Passes are valid for the remainder of the 2021 season and all of next year–get yours today to take advantage of the biggest discounts and the most possible riding time.

Out on the hill, progress continues on the Central Park expansion project! Above, you can see the newly cleared area where our surface lift will be installed. We’re very excited to be making this area of the mountain more readily accessible to riders.
Through the off season and into the spring, we’ll be working on redesigning and rebuilding the Central Park zone to better utilize the space while continuing to provide plenty of terrain for reinforcing and progressing your core riding skills. Stay tuned for more updates!
Worried about missing your favorite bike park during the winter months? We’ll still be here! The bike shop will continue to be open through the winter for all of you and your bike’s off-season needs. Stop by for service, shopping, or just to hang out and talk hockey over a bag of chicken nuggets or a filet-o-fish.

A limited selection of our 2021 rental and demo fleet is still available for purchase, with new listings recently added to the online bike shop. All bikes are meticulously maintained throughout the season by our mechanics and receive a full overhaul before being released to their new homes. Check out the website or visit the bike shop to learn more about available bikes.
The Highland Pub will also be open throughout the winter. Catch up with friends around the bar, enjoy the warmth from the woodstove, and get your Highland pizza fix. Keep an eye out for specials each weekend, as the crew takes advantage of more time and space in the kitchen to get creative.
