Grand Prix Race Course Preview

Here at Highland Mountain Bike Park we are staged for a great weekend of racing as the Grand Prix comes to town. People have steadily been rolling in and the parking lot is filling up with trailers and sprinter van’s from around the nation. Last night’s rain combined with the even more course maintenance this morning leave us with one of the best looking race courses we’ve ever seen. Check out the course preview (filmed earlier this week) to get a taste of this weekend’s course and all of the improvements the trail crew has made. With a new fresh cut section, new high speed bottom section and improvements all around the course is running good as ever. Preseason Update

Highland Mountain Bike Park, America’s Bike Park is gearing up for another exceptional season, opening its doors to season pass holders on Thursday May 3rdand to everyone else on Friday May 4th. Season Pass holders will get first tracks on Highland’s newest work of art, Bonesaw, a hand crafted dirt rollercoaster that is the mastermind of Highland’s trail crew. “Bonesaw is our most recent offering catering to the advanced riders who demand a more challenging trail,” explains Trail Crew Manager, Tom Lepesqueur. “Meshing the old school, hand built style and wood features with a machine built structure and tons of flow, the trail will keep you on your toes and laughing the whole way down. Trail Crew Home

The Trails Crew’s new home is complete and ready for action. This new garage is surely going to be a game changer for our trail crew’s efficiency and effectiveness toward building and repairing anything. There is no better way to start the season then with a fresh clean garage, bring it on spring!

Bone Saw! (new trail picture update)

Yesterday I got to spend the majority of my day with trail crew helping build yet another new trail! Bone Saw is going to be the newest addition to the highland mountain trail family. It is an expert trail that will have a little of every type of riding in it! With two large drops, a few jumps and other features this trail is already shaping up to be possibly our raddest trail yet! I spent the day snapping pictures of what has been done so far so sit back and enjoy! -Dylan

Power Hour Opens This Weekend!

Just in time for some cool fall day riding the new linking trail, aimed towards advanced riders will be making its debut this weekend. Just like any good dirt jump line Power Hour progresses from small warm up jumps to massive smile inducing victory booters. Only this time it’s designed with the downhill bike in mind! Power Hour can be access directly by downhill trail ODB or from upper Happy Hour. From Happy Hour simply veer slightly after passing under the chair lift and look for the trail sign. Roll, manual, or double the rollers on your way towards the first small step down. Cruise Towards the small road gap, and over the bridge into a 15′ Table affectionatly known as the “MEAT SHAKE.” Landing at the top of the landing will set you up nicely for the giant curved wall ride that follows.
