S’Ender Weekender with Clif Bar Ride with the Pro’s

The leaves were on the ground and there was a chill in the air as Highland Mountain Bike Park wrapped up its 2016 season last weekend. Despite the looming change of season, the trails were in perfect condition and a large crowd of riders came out to celebrate the mountain’s S’Ender Weekender and Clif Bar Ride with the Pros bash. November weather can be fickle in the northeast, but the sun and above normal temperatures had the party trains, including this one led by Lindsey Marie, leaving the station at regular intervals all day on Saturday and Sunday. It goes without saying that Highland’s dirt jumps, some of the most beautifully sculpted and maintained anywhere, were also in prime condition. A highlight of the weekend was the Ride with a Pro event sponsored by CLIF Bar. CLIF athlete Eric Porter was on hand Saturday for a day of kids rides,…

Things are looking great for our reopening of the mountain on Thursday and we will continue to work on trails and take advantage of this awesome weather pattern. Thank you for your patience as things tend to deteriorate after over a month with no rain we look forward to getting the rest of the hill riding better than ever as we head into fall! Closure for Trail Maintenance and Lift Service

Highland Mountain Bike park will be closed next week, Monday, August 15th–Wednesday, August 17th and will re-open on Thursday August 18th. Highland will be working in conjunction with the New Hampshire Tramway board to make necessary enhancements to our chairlift. Additional anchors will be installed to the summit terminal. These anchors will increase the safety of the chairlift by approximately three times the State of New Hampshire requirement. While the chairlift terminal is being enhanced, the trail crew will be working round the clock to perform trail maintenance throughout the mountain. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Highland will be open the remainder of August everyday! There is still lots of riding left for the 2016 season. Check out our Calendar of events for all the Highland happenings this season. We are lucky to have such an amazing community of riders who support Highland year after year! #Americasbikepark

All this has resulted in great July conditions from top to bottom. Work has resumed on Freedom Trail and we are making great headway towards our goal of opening up another mile long section of the trail. Freedom Trail will provide a better entry point for new riders while being a fun & flowy Highland built trail. -Tom Lepesqueur, COO Trails Trail Closures this week*: Meadows End Check our Conditions Page for a more detailed listing. *Subject to change based on weather and other sudden trail hazards.
