Part of what makes Ayr Academy so special are the guest pro coaches. They are made up of some of the worlds’ best riders that have experience coaching and a strong interest in camp. These coaches have traveled the world and know what it takes to be the best and they are here to pass on some of that knowledge. Alongside the guest coaches, we have Highland Camps staff coaches that are well trained and experienced with coaching.
Off the mountain, the quality camp experience continues!
The Ayr Academy partners with a local private academy with an expansive campus located a short bus trip from Highland Mountain. Campers will live in the Ayr dormitory and have access to top-notch school facilities including the gym, dining hall, basketball court, sports fields, lounges, and more.
Food & Beverage
The Ayr Academy camp price includes three meals a day, beverages and snacks. Breakfast and dinner will be served in the school’s dining facility across from the Ayr Dorm.
Plate/bag lunches will be served slope-side at the Highland Mountain Café, a full-service eatery in Highland’s base lodge.
When not riding on the mountain or in the HTC there’s plenty of off-slope entertainment.
Can’t sit still? Jump into one of many Ayr camp dodgeball games, knockout or foam pit drop sessions.
Campers will be able to kick back in one of the school’s lounges equipped with pool tables, ping pong, foosball, and air hockey.

Do I have to be an expert rider?
You don’t have to be an expert rider
We welcome all riding levels. Highland Mountain offers trails for a full spectrum of abilities. We’ve hosted first-timers to advanced riders with years of experience. Our coaching staff is trained to evaluate campers and group them into ability levels.
Practice makes perfect
Most of the Ayr Academy campers are intermediate riders who just want to improve their skills, learn to catch some air, or hit a famous drop at Highland. Each day coaches will pick a valuable fundamental for their group to work on throughout the day.
What if I have a special diet?
We can accommodate many dietary needs. Meals always have a vegetarian option. On your enrollment forms, there will be space to describe in as much detail as possible any dietary needs. Please contact us with any questions
