Claymore Challenge Expands for 2011 with 2 Additional Events (Northfield, NH) – Highland Mountain Bike Park is proud that the expansion of the 4th Annual Claymore Challenge for 2011 will include two additional events, the Battle of Hellion presented by Vitamin Water and GT Bicycles Best Trick Contest. The stage is set for an epic weekend of festivities, with over $30,000 in cash and prizes to be awarded. “MTBVT Launches Green Mountain Showdown, Vermont’s First-Ever Mountain Bike Photo Competition May 19th, 2011 – Mountain Bike Vermont (MTBVT) has officially launched Green Mountain Showdown, the first photo competition in the state dedicated to all facets of mountain biking, from singletrack to downhill to jumping. Brought to you by the Trapp Family Lodge, Vermont Mountain Bike Association and MTBVT.com, the Green Mountain Showdown is an opportunity for Northeastern photographers to showcase their talents. The bunk house is shooting up and should be done real soon! Will and Bill are working on the structure, Tom and Micah are finishing up the septic and Dennis is getting ready to put the electrical in! It shouldn’t be long before the house is up and running. Here are a few pics of the process. Also the last pic listed in the gallery is a picture of the freshly painted floor of the camp lounge inside the HTC. We got to be a part of week five for Freehub’s “44 days and rolling.” Dave Smutok and Aaron Chase gave the boys the full tour of the mountain. Progression seems to be a big theme for the crew at Highland.
